Pop band revivals seem to have been a thing for the last couple of years, or at least, the revival of two of the 1990s' most revered and successful boy bands. Take That's return to the top has been amazing, while following close behind, in a more subtle and less explosive fashion, are Irish boy band Boyzone. Louis Walsh's creation were huge in the 1990s, and split, as did Take That, seemingly ahead of their time. Widely regarded as the poor man's Take That, having to accept second billing behind TT a number of times, their revival has been less meteoric, but the release of their greatest hits album reminds us of just how many recognisable hits they did ... I was moderately thrilled when I found Boyzone were releasing a Greatest Hits in 2008. Their absence from the charts had been a pleasant one, but when they resurfaced I was reminded that they had released a few fine songs in their career. Who are they: Irish group, comprising Ronan, Steven, Shane, Mikey and Keith. Lead vocals are done mainly by Ronan and Steven. On this album: They start with their biggest hit 'No Matter What' which is a strong moving ballad with good vocals from Ronan, but a whiney turn from Gately. The chorus is uplifting though and the lyrics are inspiring. They do rather well with the ballads, 'Baby Can I ... Read the complete review

I'm the first to admit, i am in no way a fun of Boyzone. In fact, i think they look pretty pathetic on the album cover there, really snide and really confident about their success and that surely everyone in the UK should have a copy of our Greatest good because we're so good. So lets get this over with... No Matter What, is a good song and used everywhere and very well known, so i'll move on ;) Baby Can I Hold You is a another good song admittely, although i think their voices are weak on the record. Love You Anyway defined what Boyzone are a good marketed band with weak singers apart from Ronan Keating as is shown on the song Words. Love Me For A Reason is ... Read the complete review

BACK AGAIN NO MATTER WHAT is an album by Irish pop group BOYZONE. The album contains 18 tracks. The opening track NO MATTER WHAT is a cover and is quite good with powerful vocals and a soothing melody. BABY CAN I HOLD YOU is another mellow single with a fine chorus and strong vocals. LOVE YOU ANYWAY contains corny lyrics and lacks any emotion which the song should have. WORDS is another cover that is nowhere near as good as the original and lacks the emotion associated with the lyrics. LOVE ME FOR A REASON is a cover and the group's first big hit. A little too manufactured for my liking. A DIFFERENT ... Read the complete review

After an eight year gap, where the boys did their own thing they're back and just as good as ever before! It would have been difficult for Boyzone to return when Take That had only recently revived, however they still managed to push their new single, "Love You Anyway" which is featured on this album to a number 5 spot in the top 40! This just shows that the boys are back and doing just as well as they were 8 years ago! This album has a selection of the boys top hits on it. 1. No Matter What 2. Baby Can I Hold You 3. Love You Anyway 4. Words 5. ... Read the complete review
