What can I say? Westlife have done it again and produced another fantastic album. I've currently got three of their previous albums, including their very first album, "Westlife" and have to say their new album, "Back Home" is my personal favourite. +* Background Information on Westlife *+ Westlife originate from Ireland and formed in 1998 after being signed by Simon Cowell. The band follow in the steps of boy band's E-17, Backstreet Boys, Take That and Boyzone, however, their style is slightly different. The famous boy band are managed by Ronan Keating who previously sang in boy band, Boyzone. The members include Nicky Byrne, ... Read the complete review

This is another great album from the 4 Irish men. It is titled Back Home. There are 12 tracks on this CD:- 1 - Home - This is a beautiful ballard from the group which you will have probably have heard on the radio or advertised on the TV when the adverts for this album appears. It has a lovely tune and is very easy listening. 2 - Us against the world - This is another ballard but has a different edge to it from their usual ballards. The tune is very catchy and the song has great words. More upbeat than some of the songhs on the album. There is a very catchy chorus which is very easy to pick up so you will soon be singing ... I became a fan of Westlife when they were formed in 1998. Ten years on I would still class myself as a fan of theirs. The simple reason for this is because their music is so easy to listen to and I can't honestly say that there is one song that they have produced that I have hated. I will admit that there have been a couple that I'm not as fond of but there isn't any that I physically can't listen to. Now I know that the Westlife boys aren't exactly everyone's cup of tea and that their remakes of classic songs and on stage 'moves' don't always make them popular but this factor doesn't bother me in the slightest, as the boys themselves can actually sing, not ... I am not one for this particular type of music at the best of times but with young children and grandchildren I often find myself having it forced upon me. A few days ago when my daughter was taking me to see an old friend (being driven there and picked up in order to be able to consume a drink or two) She had her stereo on in the car and on came a song I recognised but not by the singer I knew it by. The song was home and the version I would associate with would be the Michael Buble version which I still prefer. I commented on the song being a good one to which my daughter replied have this and give it a listen; she then presented me with the Westlife album ... Read the complete review

I have to admit, as much as i hate this band they have somehow managed a long career in the pop music industry. They have sold an impressive 60 million records over the world by releasing cover after cover after cover and miming consistently on tv shows, so i hear you wonder what is their appeal, who is buying these records. Do you want the answer? Housewives. who probably dont care much about the songs as much as they like the band. How do they sell so much Husbands and Sons. Their lazy attitude towards gift buying means they stereotypically assume their wife or mother is a huge fan of the band! Shame on all of you Right made up of four forty year olds or ...
