This is the first time i have heard anything by Billy Bragg and i love it. I've just borrowed it off my dad with average expectations but this definately exceeds them. Simply one man and his guitar, this album has twenty one tracks of great guitar melody with great vocals over the top. The songs range from love to war and each one has great lyrics. It has the first three releases, "Life's a riot with spy VS. spy", "Brewing up with Billy Bragg" and the EP "Between the wars" so it is definately good value. All the tracks flow together well and make a great album. The booklet contains all of the lyrics for every song along with a couple photos dotted around. The album is a couple minutes under an hour which is pretty good for length and has some great highlights such as "To have and to have not". To conclude, this is a great collection and if anyone hasn't heard it i would definately reccomend it to them.
