Ultimate Collection (back To Front) - Lionel Richie

Well if it is an easy listening CD you are after then this is certainly the one to buy. I was bored listening to the same old CD's when driving so on a recent visit to family in Birmingham I decided to treat myself and this is what I bought. The Cd has 16 great songs, some are much more popular and widely known than others. Ahh, am sat here smiling as I type this as I saw the great man live in concert at the Sheffield Arena on Mothers Day this year - 22nd march 2009 - and boy was this sexy, silky smooth guy 'good, real good baby'! As a little tribute to this absolute icon of a singer, (greatly underestimated in my opinion), I though I would do a review on one of my favourite albums of all time - which was released on the Motown label way back in 1992. A lot of people of my generation (I'm in my late teens) might laugh at some of my CD collection. However, it has always been my philosophy that if it is decent music, I’m not going to let any prejudices I might have get in the way of my musical taste. So, I have a most wonderful Lionel Richie album in my collection. And to hell with what people say! I think my appreciation of Richie's music must stem, as with a lot of my older tastes, from my parents in some way, and of course, the radio listening of my youth. This CD is definitely one of Lionel Richie's best. This CD features all his very best work, there is not one track on this CD that is rubbish, and that is hard to say about a CD. Lionel actually wrote all the songs on this CD except Running with the Night and Dancing on the Ceiling. The songs on this CD are truly beautiful and enchanting, if you love love songs you will love this. The CD even features lyrics to every song on the CD, so you will be able to learn all his songs by heart. My favourite tracks on this CD are Hello and All Night Long. When I was little my mum always played lionel richie so I suppose I grew to like through my mum. I have always thought he was good singer and I will admit that when I hear his songs I do sing along to them(I know Im sad).
