Advantages: A pleasant album to listen to.

Disadvantages: It won't blow your socks off.

Starting up in the 1980s Roxette is a pop duo from Sweden of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle.

Their prime time for output of hits was up until the late 1990s. Sadly in 2002 Marie was diagnosed with a brain tumour but happily it is now reported that she has made a good recovery.

This album as the title suggests contains the big ballad hits that many are familiar with. Roxette were also known for their good videos and their stylish good looks.

Marie Fredriksson is the vocalist and in my opinion the style of music is a soft pop rock with her voice having some similarity to that of Celine Dion.

"It Must Have Been Love" and "Listen To Your Heart" are both great soft rock feel good anthems.

Many of the other songs have a more mellow soothing feel to them. "Breathe" being a good example of this.

This in my opinion is not an album that you would put on really loud and solely concentrate on listening to; rather, it's an album of very pleasant soft rock/pop songs with a couple of real belters thrown in.
