      I think I accept!

Balls to the Wall is a superb 1983 album by the German heavy metal band Accept, the album was completely sung in English and has a very interesting sound to it, combining some interesting melodic sounds in particular created by marching sounds eminating from the drums, a wide range of backing vocals and very melodic dark bass playing, the vocals are full of power and rather similar to that of AC/DC's, the lyrics are quite cheesy but catchy and easy to sing a long all the same.

The title track is incredibly catchy and most definitely the best track on the album but a couple of tracks (London Leatherboys, Losing More than You Ever Had) which don't quite reach the dizzy heights of that track are still very listenable and all show superb catchy riffs. Fight it Back has some good parts to it but also some others which could easily annoy (kind of high pitch hysterical gremlin noises), Head over Heels is a powerful and enjoyable track, Love Child has glam rock type vocals and is again catchy but the guitar playing is a little too slow and progressive and doesn't quite reach it's potential in my eyes, Turn Me On continues in a Sweet or Slade style with heavier metal guitar solos and some superb work on the bass guitar which adds depth to the music.

Losers and Winners has mad vocals and probably the best lyrics of the whole album, in fact it's my personal fave although technically not as good as Balls to the Wall. Guardian of the Night is another excellent track, the lyrics and vocals are probably the only ones on the album that you would definitely be able to make out as being German, quite a lot going on guitar wise on this track, in particular an excellent solo from 3 minutes to 3mins 50 seconds. The last track of the album is Winter Dreams, a slower track with a more dreamy chilling sound to it, not really my favourite song at all but I could see it being one for the girls or perhaps those less in to the harder stuff. Overall a very good album, said to be Accept's best but I've never heard any of their other stuff so I couldn't compare yet.
