Goddesses on a mountain top!! With the news that one of my favourite bands from the 80's were reforming I had to do a review on my favourite album of theirs. Yes, Bananarama are back and ready for their comeback but don't expect boyish haircuts and boyish clothing this time around. Nowadays they have a more sophisticated look which is probably a good thing given that you can't really call them a girl band anymore, more like a woman band. They were your original girlband, before the days of the Spicegirls. The group were a trio, made up of Siobhan Fahey, Keren Woodward and Sara Dallin. Whilst they had a reputation for being a fluffy pop act only for kids, they were acquaintences of the Sex Pistols in the late 1970's before drifting into music almost by accident. After recording the flop 'Aie A Mwana', the peculiar African song which is their only non-hit ... Read the complete review
