Okay, I have to admit that when I first bought this album I was not a huge fan of it, I listened to it a few times and it took a back slot in my CD wallet, I have been a fan of Rage Against The Machine for a while, but the only song that I really loved at the time on the album was ‘Guerrilla Radio’ which everyone should know is off the MI2 soundtrack, as well as the main tune of the game smash hit ‘Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2’ so it is quite a well known song. But somehow or another this album managed to find it’s way back into my CD player, and it has hardly left since, I mean I still like Guerrilla Radio a lot, but I have become appreciative of the style of the album, and the other tracks that it offers. I will not compare this album to the other albums that have been raved about, over and over, and I will do this for the simple reason that I don’t really think it matters, I mean surely the only thing that matters is how good this album is not how well it compares to the other CD’s in your collection. Some people have said it isn’t as good, but I still say that it is amazing. By the way, before I continue I would like to put a mention saying that Rage Against The Machine are hopefully going to make a come back, only this time without Zach De La Rocha, they will also be keeping the same name, I have heard to expect something from next couple of years. That was one other thing that ‘Rage Against The Machine’ were famous for, band disputes, they got out four albums in the lengthy space of eight years, I am sure that this number would have been a lot bigger if they had managed to stay friends all the way through. Okay, I have rambled for a bit too long here, back to this album, due to the style of Rage Against The Machine the songs do not differ THAT much, but they do differ, some are more toned down, with a strong meaning behind them, some are cool guitar rifts all the way thr
ough, but in my mind there is not one bad track on this album. And that is something that not a lot of albums can boast about. Okay, well, now that I have said that this album is blinding I will go back to my initial point, this album did take me quite a while to get into it, it is a particular style, they sound completely different to any other band out there in my mind, so they do take some getting used to, but if you do want to go out and buy something just that little different, then I suggest that this is the album for you, or pretty much any Rage Against The Machine album out there on the market. I will certainly be looking out for whatever this band do in future, with any kind of reformation that they have planned. Thank you for reading. Mr.T P.S.
