Led Zeppelin need no introduction, of course, but this album might. All these live-in-the-studio tracks were recorded over numerous sessions between 1969 and 1971, they remained officially in the vaults until this set's release in 1997. According to the liner notes, these recordings capture LZ in their "rawest and freshest"... well, I'd not really agree with that. Whilst the band showcase their improvisational skills and bounce some ideas off each other, LZ were at their most exciting when throwing sound out to the front of a crowd feeding off their energy.
