... recorded in the bands garage on Beacon Street, hence the name. Although I've visited the house and it's actually called Beacon Avenue (I guess Street is more catchy?) :) I think this album perfectly captures the essence of No Doubt - unlike their debut album (whose production really lets it down - it sounds flat) and slightly over produced and commercial "Tragic Kingdom" (which is still an amazing album, don't get me wrong). Premium Review The Beacon Street Collection - No Doubt: The essence of No Doubt (439 words)

I only found out that No Doubt had other albums before Tragic Kingdom when browsing on Amazon.co.uk! I found out that there were two previous albums they being; No Doubt and The Beacon Street Collection! of what my review is about. I was reluctant at first to purchase this album as it doesn’t have many tracks- only 10! but I went for it and ordered it on Amazon. I bought a re-issue of their independent release which was from 1995 The title is named so because it is a collection of their recordings which span 2 years! Some of the tracks were recorded in the south bay and the ...  Read the complete review
