I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this album is the best album the eels have done, not only that this album is also the best album in its soothing, mellow, easy listening genre, it is incredible if you do not own this album buy it. Don't buy it because I told you to buy it because after you have heard it you will tell you to buy it!

This album is so well rounded, it captures your attention with Novocain For The Soul wich will have you humming and tapping your finguer for days. This track was used on the TV show Trigger Happy TV and you can tell why it is the only true way the eels could have forced your attention away from that poptart burning your hand or the tie that is strangling you neck. As soon as they've got you, you r a gonner, you've no hope of escape.

Next up is Susan's House a witty sad song filled with a dark reflection of the sociaty that spawned it. If the last song didn' float your boat during this one you'll be sailing to your hearts content. Another truelly great song that sets the rhythmn up for the following tracks.

During this album you forget about time and ties and pop tarts (even the chocomellow ones) it is such a thought out album there is no wander why it surpasses the spontaneous trash that is currently spewing out of our radios.

I am not going to give a detailed look at every track on this album, it would take too long, and I have been warned about the dangers of eppilepsy but every track is good some however are fantastic, I believe the first two are some of the latter, as is Beautiful Freak this ia a song that just captures such a confussing emotion. If you feeling low put this song on and snuggle up to someone you love and I bet you'll feel better by the end of it.

Speaking of the fantastic songs on this album now brings me to track 7 flower, a fantastic song featuring a choir and the whole nine yards. If you like Beautiful Freak then you'll
love this more than a dog loves his special fire-hydrant. This song can really make you feel a strange upweling of love towards the eels so watch out!

Flower is immediatly followed by Guest List a song that managed to bring a leather clad biker to tears. This song encapsulats the eels subtle humour throughout this album. This song makes you stop (assuming you were heartless enough to be moving during the rest of the album) and think.

I have only mentioned my 5 favourite songs on this album but I can assure you the other songs are also great. The thing that hits you when you listen to this album is the way it all fits together so well (this can, however lead to the embarressing situation when start singing one song then realise half way through your singing a different song). I can not stress how good this album is, but don't take my word for it listen to it yourself and apreciate this stunning album.

This is a superlative album.
