After the sex driven theme of Madonna's previous album (Erotica) comes a lovely collection called Bedtime Stories. This album shows off Madonna's softer and more romantic side of her character than her previous work This album has had mixed reviews over the years and with 6 Million album sales to date, it isn't one of her best sellers but it is still a worthy purchase. The direction of this album is also very different for Madonna, with a more RnB / urban sound than she is used to having. The music industry thought so too, giving it favourable reviews. It ranked at #30 in the NME top 50 albums of that year, and Rolling Stone gave it 3.5 stars out of a possible 5! Madonna also received a Grammy Nomination for the album, and won an MTV award for the video to ‘Take A Bow’, the last ...
