This was the first album I bought as well as the Second Album released by the Nu - metal band Disturbed and features their first single Prayer. The album is the home to twelve songs all of which offer some insight into the talent and capability of the band. The album was released in 2002 and was a stepping stone for Disturbed who have since produced a number of albums all of which getting increasingly better. Being their second album, it could be said that the band were playing it safe with a mixture of slower songs and some heavier, but not too heavy to put off the desired audience. Disturbed are renowned in the metal genre and any metal fan are sure to of heard of them. This album is a great start for any metal fan wanting to explore new artists. With songs such as Liberate and Intoxication living up to the genre and others such as Prayer and Believe being "softer" a great all round album with superb guitar rifts and solos with unique vocals. A great way to continue their career and a good way to get into the genre.
