Below The Lights - Enslaved

After the successful progressive black metal approach of 'Monumension,' Enslaved's seventh album sounds wild and incoherent by comparison, but can be better appreciated when viewed as a deliberate attempt to be a little annoying. While I admired the previous album's dedication to a prog sound without falling into the trap of showing off, this album takes the alternate approach, and experiments with styles to an often irritating extent.
