Since this is the first review of Ben Kweller's work, I will give a bit o' history re: the artist and his beginnings. Rather than reinvent the wheel, and in fairness to far better writers and contemporary historians than I am, here is his history as presented on Wikipedia.org-edited. His music is well worth the read. Ben Kweller was born in San Francisco, CA. on June 16th, 1981, was raised in Greenville, Texas, and was exposed to music at a very young age by his father, Howie. He began playing drums at age seven, and then took up guitar and piano. At age nine, he entered a songwriting contest sponsored by Billboard magazine and won honorable mention. In 1993 ...
