'The Best of Me' by Bryan Adams

I purchased my Bryan Adams The Best of Me album about 8 months ago. This album contains great songs.

The Tracks

1. The Best Of Me
'When you want it, when you need it, you'll always get the best of me.'
This is a great song with great lyrics.

2. Can't Stop This Thing We Started
'I aint superman and I can't fly, but if you wanna stop me baby , don't even try.' Well, in love, anyone can get stubborn. This is a very good track.

3 . I'm Ready
'I'm ready to love you, I'm ready to hold you.'
This is a very romantic mellow song. I won't get tired of listening to this.

4. Summer of '69
'And if I had the choice, yeah, I'd always wanna be there. Those were the best days of my life.'
I really love this song. This is the kind that makes me turn the volume of my sound system to the maximum level.

5. Let's Make It A Night To Remember: 'I love the way you look tonight, with your hair hangin' down on your shoulders.'
This is a very romantic song.

6. All For Love
'If there's someone that you know, you just let your feelings show.'
This is an original soundtrack of the movie 'The Three Musketeers'. Bryan Adams teamed up with Rod Stewart and Sting in this song. A perfect trio I guess. They have the same thing in common; a husky and sexy voice.

7. Have You Ever Really Love A Woman
'If you find yourself lying helpless in her arms, you know you really love a woman.'
This is a very romantic song.

8. Run To You
'She'd never let me down, but you're the one that turns me on.'
This song is about falling in love with somebody else. The lyrics are nicely-arranged and the rhythm of this song is superb.

9. Cloud Number
'Well it's a long way up and we won't come down tonight well it may be wrong but baby it sure feels right.'
This track has a nice beat.

10. (Everything I Do) I Do It For You: 'You know it's true, everything I do, I do it for you'.
This is an original soundtrack of the movie 'Robinhood: Prince of Thieves' .

11. Back To You
'Like a star that guides a ship across the ocean, that's how your love will take me home back to you.'
This song has great lyrics and arrangement.

12. When You're Gone (featuring Mel C.)
'Baby when you're gone, I realize I'm in love. The days go on and on and the night just seem so long.'
This talks about the significance of a person in his life which was not realized until that person is gone. This is very nice duet of Bryan Adams and Mel C.

3. Please Forgive Me
'Don't deny me this thing I'm going through, please forgive me, I can't stop loving you.'
As the title goes, this song deals with swallowing the pride when it comes to love. This is a very romantic song and so touching.

4. The Only Thing That Looks Good To Me Is You
'I don't look good in no Armani suits, no Gucci shoes and designer boots.'
This track always captures my heart.

15. Inside Out
'You've been alone but ya didn't show it. You've been in pain but didn't know it.'
This song is about trying to know the person inside out. It has a great rhythm and great lyrics too. I love to listen to this song.
About The Album

Bryan Adams: The Best of Me album was first released in 1999 worldwide. It was released in U.S. three years later (2002). Most of the tracks were recorded in 1990 onwards except the songs 'Summer of '69' and Run to you' which were recorded in late '80s.

Bryan Adams: Best of Me album is a compilation of 15 great songs by one of Canada's finest balladeers, Bryan Adams. His sexy and husky voice, good looks and talent in song composition made him stand out. Bryan Adams took part in composing all the songs.

I love the harmony of guitar, piano, vocals and the free-flowing rhythm of most of the songs in this album. This album combines various styles of songs by Bryan Adams from ballad and pop to soft rock. Though this album doesn't include his other big hits like 'Heaven' and 'Do I have To Say The Words', I still think I got the good value for my money considering it contains 15 great hits.

Summary: This album combines various styles of songs by Bryan Adams from ballad and pop to soft rock

Likeable bloke, but beyond 'Summer of '69' it was all a bit too production line. It feels like that Robin Hood song might STILL be number one.
