Gwar's tenth album continues in the modern thrash style of their previous releases this decade, and continues to run its limited ideas into the ground. Unlike the more overtly musical 'Violence Has Arrived,' here attention is permitted to turn back to the lyrics and vocals, and this counts against the listening experience for those who aren't so interested in this band's sense of humour, of the variety that considers burping in the lyrics to be rather amusing. The Divine Wings Of Tragedy: Special Edition - Symphony X - Incredibly detailed songs Won't appeal to fans of less heavy-going rock, or other musical styles
Abandon - Deep Purple - A couple of good tracks and the live album 'Total Abandon' rocks Not up to the usual standard, I was dissapointed.
Scumdogs Of The Universe - GWAR - Creative crossover-thrash, with a few genuinely funny lyrics here and there. Still pretty stupid.
Awaking The Gods: Live In Mexico - Haggard - Highlights of the first two albums, performed impeccably. Pre-emptive, and annoying crowd noise.
Blessed Black Wings - High On Fire - Heavy and fast stoner doom. Repetitive song styles.
