There is a pretty decent Cascada esque mix of Fragma from stalwart Rob Mayth, though the song is not that inspiring. Kid Cudi loses any credibility as the Bass Slammers turn in a hardcore version that could give you a hernia if you try and dance to it. The Bass Slammers are also at hand, doing something hideous to the recently regrouped Blazin Squad. They then pop back later for another remix, revamping a classic by QFX. ...more |

This album smacks of the Clubland series, even down to the cover artwork, where a scatily clad woman stands by a car she clearly can't afford. There are two discs here of the kind of tunes you either love or hate. I counted forty tracks, so you get quite a lot of music. But is it worth a purchase or a binnage? The first track is a heavy remix of 'Bonkers' by man of the moment Dizzee Rascal. It is sped up to some unearthly speed, but it uses enough of his vocal. Not as appealing as the original though. Let me set the scene; I was driving home one Friday night after work and I put Radio 1 one in my car. Often late at night Radio 1 plays a selection of dance tracks and I found the music perfect for driving. Admittedly it made me feel like a bit of a chav but the high energy, fast tempo and euphoric tunes were a great listen to on my journey home. A couple of days after I came across Big Tunes: Ignition. Noticing the car on the front and thought 'Screw it, let's have it'. I didn't have particularly high hopes of it being great driving music but I noticed a fair chunk of the songs and was at least expecting a solid dance compilation.
