I adored him then and I still adore him now along with my 5 year old daughter who I have managed to recruit into his loyal and devoted army of fans! I will now endeavour to give you a brief run-down of the tracks on this superb album.... Hello Hooray - The show opener and no mistake. This song sets the scene for the rest of the album. It has a fantastic guitar riff and some really cool vocals from the man hims...more

Premium Review Billion Dollar Babies: Expanded Version - Alice Cooper: Vincent's Masterpiece (619 words)

The year this album was made was the year I was born. What a fantastic comment to make comparing the two when you listen to this album you will know what I mean! Vincent Furnier (aka Alice Cooper) is one of the most talented musicians alive today. Not only is he a showman and a totally professional performer, he is creative and 100% original. The same cannot be said for certain rock bands around today who still try to imitate Mr Cooper's legendary songs and musical style. The Alice Cooper Group comprising of Glen Buxton (lead guitar), Michael Bruce (rhythm guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums) will totally blow you away on this ...

This is one of Alices best ever, and is widely regarded as a classic. It is a shame that vinyl is no longer available as the original came with a gatefold sleeve and had an Alice Billion Dollar Bill - probably a real collectors item now. The best songs are Elected, Generation Landslide (a live version which is just awesome - decent live Alice material is hard to find, which is odd as he is great on stage!). The title track, Billion Dollar Babies is good and there is some wierd stuff too like I Love the Dead - worth buying the album just for that track in my opinion. A great album! ...

Sex, violence, outrage, shocking theatrics - Alice Cooper anticipated all the rock trends. If you know him mainly for the songs like "School's Out" or his appearance in "Wayne's World" - well, it's time you explored further, and the 70s albums are a good place to start. Opening track "Hello hooray", with the menacing voice, and its freakshow theme sets the tone nicely. "Elected" must be familiar to everyone, it's rolled out every time we have elections, but it also seemes to be making a statement about Cooper's own fame, following his previous album "School's out" ("I gotta get ...
