Rating:

He is sometimes referred to as Joey Brains or Brando Flux in a way similar to how Eminem is sometimes called Slim Shady. Braintax has released 3 full length albums; firstly Biro Funk in 2001, then this album Panorama five years later. In 2008 he released a final album called My Best And Last Album and announced his retirement from the hip-hop game and dispanded his record label Low Life Records much to the devastation of his fans and the disappointment of the whole UK rap scene. My Last And Best Album - Braintax

Premium Review The UK's most politically fuelled rapper. (1218 words)
by mcicp19 - written on 24/11/08 (Very useful, 235 readings)
Rating:

My Last and Best Album is the 2008 release from Leeds born rapper Braintax aka Brando Flux aka Joey Brains, as the 50th record to be released through his own record label Low Life Records. Braintax has said this will be his last album, and has since the release closed his record label and moved to Australia, which will hopefully lead to more collaborations with the Hilltop Hoods. Braintax was originally Joey Brains and DJ T.E.S.T. but the group split in 1997 after the release of the Future Years EP and Joey kept the Braintax name, although you would be hard pressed to find anyone who still thought of Braintax as a duo. Releasing the critically acclaimed Biro Funk ...

A few club bangers Too many interludes and short tracks

Loads of great tracks of many different styles. With so many songs comes a little filler.

Intelligent, upfront lyrics, numerous enjoyable tracks, occasionally weak instrumentals

Hip-Hop & Rap - East Coast - 2007

No weak tracks. Only 7 songs.

Fast paced. Old school Rock & Roll! Amazing musicians! Aimed at a narrow Market. Sadly won't be heard on the radio.

Moving, varied, well executed, good songwriting ,vocals, and production Nothing stunningly original

Enter The Grave - Evile
good vocalist, riff-heavy, lyrics are pretty good for thrash lack of originality, imitation of their idols goes too far, perhaps.

Varied songwriting, solid production, nice riffs Silly intro/interlude taunts are unneccessary.
