Advantages: A change of direction for Muse
Disadvantages: There's only 11 songs!
Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme do it again, only completely different!
This is their fourth album since their creation in 1997, and definiately their best yet, and with a massive tour in 2007 to support it, it has undoubtabtly been their most successful, who can forget Wembley?
The Album starts off with 'Take a Bow', a building song, once which is building up to the 'bridge' continually, but never quite reaches it, however this suspense is compensated by Matt Bellamys brilliant voice.
The most notable songs, well, theres more than one, theres something for everybody, and infact, to show how confident they are, they've left the best to the last.
'Knight's of Cydonia', at first heavily criticised but now focused upon as perhaps their best work.
Overall, this is definiately a change in direction for Muse, from the old classics of 'Bliss' and others, this has definiately kept that pumping feeling while combining it with heavy synth and a new age feel. But let this not be a faux ami, the band are still as adrenaline pumping as ever.
A jolly good show from a damn good band!
