Just looking at some of the reviews on 'The Black Parade' it really seems to devide opinion. A real love it or hate it kind of thing! I bought this album back in 2006 and I have to say, I love it! Is just my kind of punk rock music. Some great songs on this and My Chemical Romance really show they are moving forward with this offering. So here is what I think of the songs:

1. The End - Strange title for the start of the album. Only a short burst but good lyrics, good music, a nice intro to the album. 8/10

2. Dead - Yaaaaaaaaaaaa. Great start to the song. Really rocks out straight away. I do like this one. Again good lyrically and a great melody to the song with some classic guitar riffs. 9/10

3. This Is How I Disappear - Another real rock gem. Guitars sounds so good on this one, and it's a real fast tempo. 8/10

4. The Sharpest Lives - Another really upbeat song, fast pace, another great song. 8/10

5. Wecome To The Black Parade - Bliss! This is one of my all time favortite songs. I love the long intro with the parade drums. Then when the song gets going it is just everything a rock song should be. Great words, great rhythm and and great beat. Near perfect! 10/10

6. I Don't Love You - Show another side to the band. Not as heavy as previous tracks. A nice song. 8/10

7. House Of Wolves - Back to the pulsing rock! Another one that leaves you gasping for air. 8/10

8. Cancer - Beautiful. All about his friend who died of cancer. There is loads of emotion in this song, and it's really sad. Again showing another side of the band for a change. 9/10

9. Mama - Different is all I can say about this one. Quirky and I like it. 8/10

10. Sleep - This one lacks the power and drive of some, but still has a good sound to it. 8/10

11. Teenagers - 'Teenagers scare the living **** out of me!' Makes me laugh this song. It's so catchy and really does stick in your head. Shame about the swearing but it's still a fantastic song. 9/10

12. Disenchanted - A really nice song, that builds up as it progreses. This is another classic song, not just a filler by any means. 9/10

13. Famous Last Words - Great end to the album. Powerful angry lyrics. I love this song. It's one of the real stand out tracks on the album and it's unusual for a band to put a track like this on last, but I think it's a great move! 10/10

Overall then, a brilliant rock album. I can understand why some people won't like it, but for me its just what I'm into. Some massive rock anthems that really make you feel good, which is what music should do! They are lyrically very good and the music really makes you want to jump around. Feel good music.

Overall I would give this 9/10
