... better. Previous Bon Jovi albums, especially New Jersey, should have put my mind at ease. I found that the soundtrack is very similar to other Bon Jovi albums and had their essence in there. The tracks are arranged well, and are performed as you would expect them to be, great (due to Jon Bon Jovi's vocal chords!). You can sense the passion that Jon Bon Jovi must have felt when recording the tracks. By this i mean that he does have a passion for the cowboy theme anyway! The tracks compliment the film well, and i think anyon...more

Having seen the first Young Guns film, and being a Bon Jovi fan, i was a little sceptical about the soundtrack for Young Guns II. The reason being, is that i, for some reason, was not that sure that a decent soundtrack could be 'gotten' from the film, but i should have known better. Previous Bon Jovi albums, especially New Jersey, should have put my mind at ease. I found that the soundtrack is very similar to other Bon Jovi albums and had their essence in there. Premium Review 'Billy, you are not a God!' (401 words)

Rating:

In 1990, Jon Bon Jovi branched out from the other members of Bon Jovi to make a solo album. This is the result: an album which is officially linked to the feature film 'Young Guns II: Blaze of Glory', and which features vocal and musical talents of such stars as Elton John, Little Richard and Randy Jackson. I came across this album when I first watched Young Guns II, sometime in the mid 1990s. I loved it immediately. The sad thing is that only one track made it big: Blaze of Glory, the title track and theme tune for the film. It features on Bon Jovi's best of album, titled 'Crossroads', but I feel there are others tracks on this CD that are ...  Read the complete review

Superb, original, and atmospheric Can be a bit cheesy at times (but not often!)

Great OST, full of stars and great tracks, well constructed Nothing really, although I don't particularly like I Believe I Can Fly

Lots of songs, Good guitars Some songs are a bit cheesyMusic doesnt suit movie

Good variety of quality, recognisable tracks, perfect accompaniment to the film, cheap to buy None

Fun for Final Fantasy fans who also like rock music. Only for the game's fans, and the concept loses its novelty after a while.

Soundtrack - 2001

Never Turn Your Back On A Friend - Budgie
Budgie's style defined, and it mostly works. Soft songs are still the weakest point, and far too frequent.

Impeckable - Budgie
Consistent. Consistently weak.

In For The Kill - Budgie
Heavier sound returns, a couple of classics. Abundance of mediocrity in-between.

If I Were Britannia I'd Waive The Rules - Budgie
Maintains the annual album release pattern. A distinct slump.

Santa Monica '72 - David Bowie
Pop Rock - 1995

Budgie - Budgie
Classic early heavy metal. Second-rate Sabbath substitute.

Bandolier - Budgie
Intriguing and diverse. Still some weak links, though less than usual.
