Advantages: Mostly great tracks, they're getting back together!

Disadvantages: A couple of weak tracks which ruin the progression of the album a little bit.

Blink-182 is an American pop-punk band who recently reformed in early 2009. They are largely reputed to the best and most successful band of their genre with hits such as "All the Small Things", "What's My Age Again" and "First Date" from their previous albums. Blink-182 released their "last" album in late 2003, and claimed that it had a much more mature, sophisticated feel to it, which is indeed an accurate description of this CD when it is compared with the previous albums recorded by Blink-182.

Track listing:

1. Feeling This - (5/5)
2. Obvious - (5/5)
3. I Miss You - (5/5)
4. Violence - (4/5)
5. Stockholm Syndrome - (5/5)
6. Down - (4/5)
7. The Fallen Interlude - (3/5)
8. Go - (4/5)
9. Asthenia - (4/5)
10. Always - (5/5)
11. Easy Target - (5/5)
12. All of This - (5/5)
13. Here's Your Letter - (4.5/5)
14. I'm Lost Without You - (3/5)
15. Not Now - (3/5)
16. Anthem Part Two (Live) - (5/5)

For me personally the first three tracks of the album are my favourites, Feeling This and I Miss You being a particularly catchy songs with some excellent lyrics which are completely different from previous work by Blink-182, however retain Tom Delonge and Mark Hoppus' vocal styles perfectly whilst coming across as more sensitive and mature than their previous albums. Not surprisingly these two songs were the two most successful singles from the album.

There are however some tracks later on in the album which are favourites of some of the more serious fans which after a few listens are completely addictive and start to stand out from the rest of the album. Always being another one of their famous songs is very catchy and touching, although it leads onto a song full of anger and resentment "Easy Target" reputedly about a former girlfriend of Mark Hoppus, although there are also stories that it is a song about the former partner of one of their backstage members. This song slides gently into a very pretty song "All of This" which is very subtle and catchy and the main riff behind it will have you addicted in a few listens. For fans of Blinj-182's previous album the live version of Anthem Part Two is not only one of the best tracks on the album but it is also considerably better and catchier than the version which they recorded in the studio.

There are a few weak tracks on the album, such as "I'm Lost Without You" and "The Fallen Interlude" which have the unnecessary feel of tracks inserted into the album as fillers more than anything else. This doesn't detract from the album overall much however as it is still a classic album from Blink-182, one which you should definitely purchase if you are a big fan of Blink-182. If you haven't heard any of Blink-182's music before however you would be much better off buying their Greatest Hits CD first as that contains pretty much all of their most successful songs (including Feeling This, I Miss You, Down and Not Now from this album.)

Summary: An excellent album, essential for any Blink-182 fan!

I Miss You and Obvious are brilliant! I enjoyed the rest of the album but don't really feel any of the other tracks as much.
