Rating:

Grind bands are only really successful when they're unpredictable, and while Blood Duster's discography isn't exactly extensive or multi-faceted, it's perhaps necessary for the majority of their releases to be really terrible so that things like this self-titled 2003 album can come as a pleasant surprise. Excellent individual songs contributing to a death metal classic. Drums are still a weak point.

Classic British death metal. Lacks originality and distinctiveness.

Amazing vocals, Brilliant lyrics Loud for some

Plenty of good songs Not the most varied album in the world

Reasonable grindcore, for all of its twelve-or-so minutes. Flaccid and disappointingly softcore.

Heavy Metal - 1993

Songs To No One: 1991-1992 - Jeff Buckley
Jeff's very early stuff, Some classics before they became finished, A hitoric looks at Jeff's past Some demo quality songs

Post To Wire - Richmond Fontaine
Well-crafted songs telling poignant tales; great musicianship; evocative pedal steel None to speak of

Pentecost III - Anathema
Unparalleled gloom, and a long-awaited resurrection of these vital releases. May lead to suicidal tendencies or manic depression. Okay for pregnant women though.

Organasm - Alchemist
Innovative Australian prog metal. Disappointingly repetitive and American.

Live A L'olympia - Jeff Buckley
Vocals, Music, Brilliance, Lyrics, Raw Energy, Passion Very little

If Emotions Still Burn - Ablaze My Sorrow
A pleasant surplus of lead guitar melodies balanced out with some angry death metal. Overly repetitive, and too similar to Dark Tranquillity and others to truly stand out.

Every Second Counts - Plain White T's
Hey There Delilah is a classic song Could be longer

Dominate - Adagio
Competent and enjoyable progressive power metal. A couple of terrible songs, and far too derivative of Symphony X.

Awkward Annie - Kate Rusby
an excellent album, lots of lovely songs that one track with the dodgy harmonies

Mi Sueno - Ibrahim Ferrer
Ferrer's beautiful voice, simple arrangements None at all
