Advantages: Sleek guitar, well furnished vocals, its Children of Bodom.

Disadvantages: Production, too much, originality, zero

Reviews for this album will be divded between two fans. Kudos from fans sticking for new stuff, the rest for visa versa.

It was all predicted way for Children of Bodom since their release of "Hate Crew Deathroll" back in 2003, the album ruthlessly balanced with their early sound and their new sound. Since then, "Are you Dead Yet?" in 2005 had became a low-down for long term COBHC fans, yet putting Alexi land his finns on a global stage with "new audiences", little fringed boys in eyeliner and tight black t shirt., in mix with metalheads trying to forgive the band and trying to accept that the fact, the new Children of Bodom, used to be their old messiahs...

To be honest, I only heard of Chilren of Bodom after Are You Dead Yet? came out. Truthfully saying, it caught me by the neck and dragged me to the band. But songs and albums like AYDY gets old, and boring, after a few listen. By then I have discovered the old Children of bodom, Circa- the amazing Hatebreeder periold, the real thing.

Anyway, the new album in question, Blooddrunk, much hyped on magazines, internet and forums everywhere worldwide, in my opinion is more towards HCTR than AYDY, but this one had been also sleek produced, maybe a bit too overproduced. Some songs are mediocre, few good, and some even boring to listen to. It still sounds COB but it sounds too much of the same. If you're looking for true metal, this is a turn away.

But if you're still wetting yourself over Alexi's new eyeliner, this is for you.

I have to admit, i listen to album from time to time, its a decent album in its own right with decent musicianship, have the album myself and i'm still goes to every single Chilren of Bodom gig coming, still checks their website every day...But really, this had been the second worst COB album, ever.

Summary: Listenable but a let down but theres no denying COB is getting popular, bigger and whats next?
