The 1992 demos offer relatively slow black metal grooves in the spirit of the first wave bands that pioneered black metal before it sounded like black metal, most notably Bathory and Venom, both of whom are covered in the rehearsal warm-up that forms the latter section of the compilation, while the 1993 release showcases a more melodic, atmospheric and melancholic style with a prominent keyboard presence comparable to Burzum. Good music, wide appeal Start and enda bit pop-y and over-produced?

Some good old tunes... Some naff dated ones...

A lot of great Maiden tracks, Some tracks not previously released live, Amazing crowd response Many tracks have been released on previous live albumsBruce's vocals are clearly sufferingNot the band at their best

Guitar riffs can be fun for the first minute or so. Overlong and tediously samey.

Great mix of styles. Semi-tongue-in-cheek chauvinism may put some people off.

Angry, energetic crossover thrash. Lacks the variety of the previous album.
