Advantages: The band's trademark humour and penchant for huge riffs and dark vocals are all present.

Disadvantages: May be uncomfertable listening for some of the more fragile listeners.

This is the third album the brooklyn quartet released on Roadrunner records and showcases their willingness to experiment with their sound. Stepping away from the hardcore punk and metal crossover sound of Slow, Deep and Hard, Bloody Kisses' sound is one of mourning and of love lost.

My favourite tracks on this album are Christian Woman and Too Late: Frozen. Christian Woman is a nine minute epic that narrates a tale about a religious woman coming to terms with her feelings of lust. This track showcases both the experimental side of the band and their sense of humour, with the track meandering between a dark goth sound, and acoustic passage and finally an awesome strutting riff with the vocal refrain of "Jesus Christ Looks like Me!"
TL:F is another long track, clocking in at just under 8 minutes. The count ins, huge riff and the vocal hooks of "Too Late For Apologies!" will please your average metalhead, and the passages in between with the doom metal-laden sound works very well too.

Overall this album does come with a lot of good songs. Humor is also provided in the soundscape interludes and the tracks Kill All The White People (!) and We Hate Everyone, and an incredibly bizzare renedition of Seal and Crofts' Summer Breeze. However, the suicidal themes of the title song may be a bit uncomfertable for some, so be warned. Pick this CD up for sure if you're a fan of Paradise Lost and Danzig.

Summary: A solid tracklist, and the sound of a band evolving.
