Advantages: It has "When I fall" on it

Disadvantages: Some tracks are a bit forgettable

This CD includes one of the Barenaked Ladies' most famous songs, "If I had $1000000", although for some reason it's the (UK edit) version. This, along with songs like "Call me calmly" are very reminiscent of They Might Be Giants, so if you like a zany edge to your music, you should be fine with this.
There's more to the Barenaked Ladies than this, though - and this album has a serious side, with some very poignant songs, both musically and lyrically, e.g. "When I fall", and my absolute favourite, "Break your heart". On this ultimately soulful track, it's like Steven Page is completely opening up his heart for us - when he sings "Just stop wasting my time" it literally sounds like someone falling apart.

At other times some of the songs sound a little derivitive. "Straw hat and old dirty hank" has a sort of Waterboys / Gobetweens sound to it.
The vocals on "This is where it ends" sound disturbingly like Boyzone - in fact if Ronan fancies doing a cover version I think it wouldn't be a bad choice. Still a good song when the Barenaked Ladies perform it, though.

A few excellent tracks, but some of the rest may not grab you immediately.
