When i first moved to Germany , back in the early eighties it killed me to leave England and my favorite magazines , one of which at the time was my all time treasured "Smash Hits", I did for a while get them sent out to me.

Then on a shopping trip to a local German supermarket I discovered "Bravo", Yes it was in German and being English i did not really understand it, I knew a little to get me by but struggled in other areas, anyway back to "Bravo"

It was exactly like Smash hits, it had the posters the lyrics to the latest songs i was in awe of actually being able to see my favorite bands that I so missed, my mum suggested buying it to firstly ease my longing of missing the "Smash Hits" and secondly for me to improve my German.

So I purchased a copy, I soon became a regular reader of the magazine and slowly stopped asking for copies of "Smash hits" to be sent over.
Not long after becoming a fan of "Bravo" They launched their own Albums, it really was like the UK, Germany was slowly catching up and with these albums i was over the moon, their !Bravo Hits! were like the UK version of "Now thats what i call music....".

I soon became a collector of these albums while in Germany and even after returning to the UK. When my feelings became reversed and i need to read the "Bravo magazine" i managed to subscribe to it and also managed to obtain the albums which were fantastic,

Bravo hits tend to focus on the hits that have been in the charts not just German hits but British ones too and seriously with getting these albums and listening to the German music on them it really does help you pick up the language easily,

Well the last time i bought a bravo hits album was roughly about 5 years ago, but with searching on a German site i recently discovered that Bravo Hits had a new Album out so i thought i would look for it , and low and behold i found it.

I have slowly started to gather the albums i did not have in my collection
and have just purchased Bravo Hits volume 44 And was shocked as it only cost me £4.00 off amazon for a double CD, you can alternatively buy them else where and also the other albums if you so wish to collect them.

Try them out ... try listening to them , some of the artists are great and some have that holiday beat that you get when visiting Ibiza, you know the sort i mean , the holiday song you discover and get back to the UK , sing it till your blue in the face and request it but nobody has heard of it then all of a sudden after you have sung it hummed it and requested it , it hits the charts and you are sick of it after all it has probably been six months since you first recommended it.
A bit like , Saturday night by Wigfield or the Ketchup song.

I do like the Bravo hits compilation CD's and do find they are really cheap, and i am enjoying getting my collection back up to date with the help of amazon and another site called dicogs.com as i find they are cheap too.

I would of listed all the songs but it is 2 CD's and I'm sure locating it to look at the lists of songs would be easier

Overall I do enjoy listening to different music from around the world in different styles and languages and would recommend everyone own at least one Bravo Hits album in their collection.
