This was Beecher's first release after parting ways with UK label In At The Deep End Records and was released through Calculated Risk Records. The Calculated Risk record label was actually formed by a man named Martin Ives in order to give this 'Breaking the Fourth Wall' album its release. Martin Ives saw great potential in Beecher's music and therefore decided that his first Calculated Risk project would be Beecher's debut album 'Breaking The Fourth Wall'. So Calculated Risk Records was formed and 'Breaking The Fourth Wall' was released in the year 2003.
