... backing to start with, but there is also a good hint of a backing track too later on which stops it sounding acoustic. This is a bit of a shame as I think that Lucie's voice lends itself well to acoustic tracks, especially as she is a singer-songwriter. ***Last Man Standing*** This is one of my favourite tracks on the album. It is a slow track verging on ballad territory with the lyrics. The backing is piano-esque but I don't think that is an actual piano as such as it sounds more like a piano-based backing track....more

This is one of the most played albums on my iPod at the moment, although I don't like all of the songs. For those of you who are not familiar with Lucie (she hasn't had many big hits in the UK and seems to be more popular in Europe), she is a bit similar to Delta Goodrem in that a lot of her songs are piano-based. She is a singer-songwriter and has a nice range to her voice that I really enjoy listening to. I remember discovering Lucie Silvas very well. It was back in 2004 when the video to her debut single 'What You're Made Of' caught my eye. Instantly drawing comparisions to Delta Goodrem [who I am a huge fan of], due to the piano led melodies of her songs and her squeaky clean image, she seemed like a new musical obsession just waiting to be snatched up by me. 'Breathe In' was her breakthrough record selling over 300,000 copies in the UK despite peaking no higher than no11.
