Advantages: Different artists, remind you of the film

Disadvantages: None

The movie, The Edge of Reason, based on the book by Helen Fielding came out in 2004. It's a good movie but in my opinion not really a classic although it does have some funny elements. However, some of my favourite parts of the movie were actually the music used in it and as such I decided to buy the soundtrack after it came out. I love movie soundtrakcs becasue they feature a number of different artists so you get a wide variety of different sounds which is great. Plus, this album includes some of the best artists in the world. Also, whenever I listen to it it always reminds me of different parts in the movie which I like. The album was released on November 19th 2004 on Geffen records and was produced by Nick Angel. The front cover features the same photo of the DVD, a picture of Bridget in the middle with Daniel on one side and Mark on the other.

According to an article I read, Uncut magazine gave the album three stars out of five stars, saying that "Its quality control is close to impeccable." Allmusic called it "a generally enjoyable, if slick, musical counterpart to the film's frothy romantic shenanigans. THe album includes the following songs.

Will Young - "Your Love Is King"
Jamelia - "Stop"
Kylie Minogue - "Can't Get You out of My Head"
Joss Stone - "Super Duper Love (Are You Diggin' on Me?) Pt. 1"
Mary J. Blige - "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word"
Robbie Williams - "Misunderstood"
Love Affair - "Everlasting Love" (NB: Jamie Cullum's version appears on the CD)
Barry White - "You're the First, the Last, My Everything"
Beyoncé Knowles featuring Jay Z - "Crazy in Love"
Rufus Wainwright featuring Dido - "I Eat Dinner"
10cc - "I'm Not in Love"
Carly Simon - "Nobody Does It Better"
Primal Scream - "Loaded"
The Darkness - "I Believe in a Thing Called Love"
Amy Winehouse - "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?"
Minnie Riperton - "Lovin' You"
Aretha Franklin - "Think"
Leona Naess - "Calling"
Sting & Annie Lennox - "We'll Be Together"
Harry Gregson-Williams - "Bridget's Theme"

I love stop by Jamelia! Used to play this when I worked in the jewellers before we opened.
