Rock-pop debut is a bright idea (Bright Idea - Orson)

Advantages: Some really standout tracks, good variety

Disadvantages: Some tracks not as good as others

Orson aren't the most well known band but they certainly a lot of radio play with this album which also happens to be their debut. They released a second album, Culture Vultures but it wasn't as successful and now they seem to have disappeared which is disappointing as I really love this album.

My favourite songs off this album are:

(1) Bright Idea, this was the second single released from the album. This is a great song, its very catchy and it got loads of radio play when it was released.

(2) No tomorrow, this was the first single released, its very catchy and all the instruments work really well together. The singer is really good as always.

(4) Already over, this starts off more slowly but is one of my favourites off the album. The guitar work is great. I really love the cheeky lyrics at one point.

(5) Downtown, probably my favourite Orson song. I really love the lyrics and the guitar work.

(10) Save The World, this is a really great song. Definitely one of the best songs off the album. The chorus is awesome to say the least.

For a debut album this is really great, they may have disappeared off the music scene but you should definitely pick this up. It is a truly great pop-rock album, with great lyrics and great personality.

Summary: Great debut album which should've lead to great things
