Bullet In A Bible - Green Day

THE CONCERT Bullet In A Bible features a DVD and CD disc. The DVD includes the majority of the Milton Keynes National Bowl concert, filmed on June 19th 2005 - and I was there! There were 60 - 65,000 in the crowd, and Green Day put on an amazing show and performance. This was the first time I have seen Green Day live, and what a first time! The setlist included most of the tracks of their album "American Idiot", and a few older and classic tracks (which pleased me as I love their older stuff). Having recieved a few comments recently stating that greenday are nothing more than an uninfluencial skater boy band, I decided I had to try and convince people again that there is so much more to this band. I for one am a 24 year old professional and adore the band, so i dont believe thier demograph is based purely on teenage "hoodies". They have come a long way from thier punk beginings and matured into serious, thought provoking voices that deserves a new found respect. Bullet In A Bible leaves me stumped. You see, I could write from two differing perspectives here. On one front, I'm a Green Day fan of 10 years who happened to be amongst the 130,000 fans present at Milton Keynes over the weekend of June 18-19th (and thusly wouldn't dream pick fault with this somewhat landmark release); and on the other, I could write as impartially as possible, stating the rather glaring faults that Bullet In A Bible presents. This album is brilliant. I was actually one of the screaming voices you will hear on this awesome CD. This was recorded live at the Milton Keynes Bowl in 2005 on part of their American Idiot tour. Ever since I first heard Basket Case as a youngster I have always been a fan of this group. I remember as a spotty teenager telling everyone at school that this band were going to be huge and I am so glad I haven't been disappointed. So what about this album? Recorded live at the Milton Keynes Bowl I'm pleased to say that I appear on this album, well I would appear if you could manage to delete the sounds from the band and the rest of the audience then you would be left with my own angelic voice singing out of key and cheering the band on. I also managed to get a few minutes up on the shoulders of my boyfriend for a couple of songs but we were not that close to the stage so I doubt I registered on the eyes of the band even though I looked drop dead sexy in a litle zest top and skinny jeans.
