At first glance Busted just look like another boy band, and I've forgive you for thinking so! But I do think they deserve some credit, they play their own instruments and appear to actually sing live (shock, horror). It's not the kind of music I usually listen to, but after hearing a couple of the songs I found myself starting to like them, and I just couldn't help it. Busted were one of the biggest pop acts of recent years. Despite only being active from 2002-2005 the three piece [Matt Willis, James Bourne and Charlie Simpson] scored 8 top 3 hits on the UK charts [including 4 number ones] and saw both of their studio albums sell over a million copies. Leading the wave of 'boys with guitars' and spawning the very annoying but equally successful McFly the band's debut album seems so dated somehow when listening to it today and their sophomore effort is leagues above it but there are still some pretty defining pop tracks here and that's all the album is. 'Busted' is the debut album from the English boyband of the same name. Whilst the bands second album 'A Present For Everyone' possessed quite a pop punk sound, this first album from the band is very much a pure pop album. 'Busted' contains 14 tracks and has a total run time of 44 minutes and 26 seconds; it's not a great album but wasn't a bad way for the three members of Busted to introduce themselves as a band anyway. As mildly embaressed as i am for reviewing this, i thought i would anyway, as, after listening to it, i had to abmit it's pretty catchy! Busted rose to fame back in 2002 after releasing this, their self titled album. I remember being back in secondary when these guys were cool and CD:UK was one of my favourite shows...shamefull times... But this album does have some pretty decent tunes included. The music is cheery pop rock, clearly aged at youngsters, with their bubble lyrics and fast paced guitar, it is basically as softcore as 'rock' gets. BUSTED is the title of British pop band BUSTED's album. The album contains 14 tracks. The opening song WHAT I GO TO SCHOOL FOR is an energetic opener with great guitar work. The lyrics are fun talking about female teachers at school. YOU SAID NO is another fast paced track with decent loud vocals and funky melodies. BRITNEY i wasn't sure was about Britney Spears, but nethertheles it's a decent fast paced track. LOSING YOU is a more mellow song with the vocals lacking slightly and the lyrics a little dissapointing.
