Advantages: Best album he has made.

Disadvantages: Quite depressing at times

Phil Collins's music never fails to impress and this album is no different. This was Phils fourth solo album released back in November 1989 by Virgin Records it is still being sold for around £11.00 on most sites so proves his popularity. After owning most of his albums i have to say this is his best by far. The album runs for around 59 minutes and includes 12 tracks. This album covers some quite meaningful themes with Another Day in Paradise taking a look at homelessness and 'Colours' which is sung with regards to the segregation of black and coloured people in South Africa, hence the title to the album But Seriously. Father to Son is also sung with his own son in mind. Whilst making this album Phil Collins was estranged from his father and wife and this shows in his music. This is a more mature and solumn album than Phils previous work and has more purpose. Also includes a duet with Eric Clapton 'I Wish it Would Rain Down'. I found this album to have a good range of music with a good balance. Deep meaningful songs mixed with a couple of his usual lighthearted style. A real must for Phil fans. Excellent.

Summary: If you love Phil - you'll love this
