This year has most certainly been the year of the Chill out mix. You know how every year there is something “year of Ibiza compilations” for example, well I don’t think anyone could have escaped the number of chilled out compilations there are. On the tv we are bombarded with advertisements and then if you go into any record store there they all are covering 10 shelves. So, which one do you choose and why??? I have been into dance music for the past 8 years quite heavily, yes at the weekends I get my clubbing gear on, I avidly read Mixmag looking for the next must attend event and I seek out those tracks that will be hits before the radio one ...
