Addicted To Bass 2009Addicted to nothing (916 words)

As soon as I saw this advertised on TV I KNEW I had to buy it. so, off I went to HMV and dived straight in there. Ok, so the first thing I notice is it was £9.99 in HMV, meaning it s cheaper to buy it online (as usual). I would recommend getting it from Amazon unless you don t care about the price. The second thing I noticed was the attractive cover, typical Ministry of sound type colours and layout. not a bad looking box set. The value for money is great, as it s a 3CD box set, 20 tracks on CD 1 and CD 2, then 21 tracks on CD 3. Not bad going. Well, I was immensely looking forward to playing it, so I ran home and stuck it on. The first thing I hear is the voice of a ...

A review of Clubland volume 15, which was released on June 22nd, the double CD version can be purchased for around £10 online, with a download also available at similar prices. It s a while since we had a Clubland compilation and you could be forgiven for thinking that the record label (AATW - All Around the World) was taking the time to review the approach to be taken for future editions. The earlier volumes of the series were extremely popular and commercially very successful, but as the series has drawn on, the label seems to have distanced itself from its roots, stuffing each compilation with more and more happy hardcore; a niche market, at the best of times. The ...
Clubland 15Cheese, cheese and more cheese, but is it too much? (1010 words)

To appreciate a Clubland album you have to understand the concept of Clubland first. The Clubland albums are not about serious music. They are light hearted cheesy fun. They intend to make you feel lively and bouncy and get you in the mood for dancing. It s quite impressive to see the Clubland genre still going to reach a 15th album however the big question is; Is the genre running out of ideas? First off, the track list: Disc 1 1. Agnes - Release Me 2. Tinchy Stryder Ft N-Dubz - Number 1 (Hypasonic Remix) 3. N-Force - All Or Nothing 4. Styles & Breeze Presents Infextious - Amigos (Technikal Remix) 5. Alesha Dixon - Breathe Slow (Cahill Remix) 6. Manian - Raver s ...

Lots of good songs from four albums, displaying the band's variety and skill.
Nothing from 'Privilege of Evil,' and some of the choices are a bit strange.

Greater variety than the studio albums, with a few more punk offerings.

All the old problems remain.
|Death Is This Communion - High On Fire|
Excellent husky vocal performance, a fine display of instrumental power.
A lack of musical diversity is shown here, the tracks are all incredibly similar.
|Nostradamus - Judas Priest|
Long, intriguing, different.
Bulked out by too many interludes and slow songs.
