The Chili's have done it again with another stunning album. Unlike 'Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik' this one is mainly along the lines of being pure Rock. The tunes featured on this albulm go from the relaxing kind like "Road Trippin'" to the heavier tunes like "Otherside". The album maintains a constant mood balance leaving the listener pretty relaxed and loving it.
There are a few infamous tracks on this album which many will have heard of, such as: "Scar Tissue" and most recently "Californication".
The album is good to last you a long time, due to the fact that the songs are pretty deep just as you would expect from the Chili's.
Anthony Kiedis's amazing voice manages to change from loud to calm through different tracks. He pulls off every song to the greatest of his ability and by doing so gives each song a great climax.
The songs I would highly recommend off this album are: "Around The World", "Parallel Universe", "Otherside" and "Road Trippin'"
"Around the world" is pretty upbeat and Anthony really uses his amazing voice in this one in a loud sort of way.
"Parallel Universe" Is a little more gentle to begin with, but then around the chorus it reaches a climax and Anthony sings pretty loud around there.
"Otherside" Is more of a darker and heavier song. Anthony's voice is at a pretty medium tempo on this song and he pulls it off very well.
"Road Trippin'" is your average mellow song which is pretty relaxing. Anthony has a pretty calm voice throughout this song and the song is quite slower than the Chili's normal tempo.
Chili lover or non Chili lover, this is still an album you need to buy, if not because your a great Chili fan then because you want to relax by listening to some of the songs.
