Advantages: Enjoyable, happy music with quite funny lyrics

Disadvantages: Vocals not my favourite type

I first came across this New Jersey based band on Slicethepie, they've never got very far on there but I was impressed enough with them to add to my watchlist. Recently they released this album, their 3rd to date.

The pop punk/ska sound that is so popular across the pond, doesn't always appeal to me, in fact I can't say the 1st genre does much for me whatsoever, therefore the teenage sounding Offspring / Reel Big Fish vocal sound doesn't really impress me. That's not to say its bad and in fact anyone who enjoys that style of singing will dearly love this band's lead vocals.

Musically, they play nice fast-paced ska, strong in the brass section and always with an upbeat and jolly sense to it. Where Case of the Mondays win me over though is with their lyrics which tend to be witty and with a feel good factor which is a definite plus at a time when a lot of bands have forgotten they are there to entertain and seem to use music as a away of addressing their own whinges and problems instead. Jesus Stole My Girlfriend is clearly a winning track and should also be fairy saleable, One Last Time though is a personal favourite.
