Chain Reaction were a NWOBHM band in action from 1980 - 1986, from little Cornwall, they started off as a bit of a joke, with a few tracks of their own and some Black Sabbath covers. They then started playing in local pubs and eventually moved on to better and bigger things, culminating in some reasonably good second slots - including supporting Budgie! Chain Reaction had quite a Sabbath sound instrumentally, guitarist Andy Talbot has an Iommi sound to his playing whilst the vocals of Derek Hodd, sound a little more like Rob Halford. The band sound good to anyone who likes a bit of NWOBHM but I think it is disputable whether they have their own style. The ... Read the complete review
