A great cd which goes so well with the movie!

Charlie's Angels the movie was released in 2000 and with it, this great accompanying soundtrack. The film is a beautiful mix of fast paced action and the free flowing cohesiveness of the scenes can be attributed in part to the music used to accompany it. Featuring some oldies and some new (at the time of release anyway) songs it is the perfect meeting between the old series and the new movies. The song listing is as follows along with my individual ratings for them: Destiny's Child: Independant Women (the title track for the film). 5/5 Tavares: Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel 5/5 Leo Sayer: You Make Me Feel Like Dancing 4/5 Spandau Ballet: Ture 4/5 Destiny's Child: Dot 4/5 Sir Mix A Lot: 3/5 Aerosmith: Angel's Eye 4/5 Heart: Barracuda 4/5 The Vapours: Turning Japanese 4/5 Looking Glass: Brandy 3/5 Marvin Gaye: Got to Give It Up 3/5 Fatboy Slim: Ya Mama 3/5 Deee-Lite: Groove Is In The Heart 5/5 Apollo Four Forty: Charlie's Angels 2000 4/5 Caviar: Tangerine Speed 3/5 As you can see nothing got a score below three, which goes to show all these songs have merit! I think the best thing about this soundtrack is that the songs on it stand out so much in the film that when listening to it you will be taken back into the scene which it accompanied. I think that is a very good plus point for the album as often I find myselp not quite remebering where a certain song was in a film, showing that maybe it did not have such a great impact, this is definately not the case with this album. In regards to the album art the front features a picture of the three angels (Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore) stood in front of flames on a pink backgroud. The angels themselves are mostly in the dark casting strong shadows onto the front of the picture. In bold orange font it states 'Charlie's Angels' on the bottome and also has listed the actresses names. The back of the cd is also pink with the song listings in a light yellow/green accompained by a small picture of the three angels striking fighting poses again in front of flames. Seeing as the film was out a long time ago now you should be able to pick this album up quite cheap making it amazing value in my opinion. Even if you have never watched the film if you like a good mix between modern and older music then you should definately pick this up as it is a good listen bound to have at least a few songs you like!
