... partnership each Girls Aloud album seems to progress in sound and maturity and 'Chemistry' is no exception with the music already sounding light years away from their last album 'What Will The Neighbours Say' but not quite reaching the more mid tempo, electro vibe that was so evident on 2007's follow up 'Tangled Up'. The 'Intro' is barely a minute long and is just a warm up to the first actual track 'Models'. This is classic Girls Aloud with its distinct feel and fast paced beat. Vocally it's not up to much but the lyrics ...more

Crowned Review Chemistry - Girls Aloud: 'Waiting'... for something good (1549 words)

Rating:

Chemistry the 2005 album from Girls Aloud is to put it bluntly… rubbish! I won the CD and glad no money passed my bank account for it. Something that really surprised me was the inclusion of advertising in the CD case to buy ringtones for up to £3 considering the market for this album would be young teens. The physical design of the product is quite plain; the booklet contains no lyrics and just pictures of each band member with a blurb for who they wish to thank for the album. Trying to fit in with the language it is written in text speak… e.g. “u r truly amazin and I am so happy we found u!” My advice would be to choose a different mascara… they all look shocked and ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Lacking Chemistry (1702 words)

This is not a place I honestly ever expected to find myself in, reviewing Girls Aloud’s third album. For one thing, I wasn’t entirely sure they would ever last long enough to release it, given the fickle nature of many of today’s music fans, especially the younger pop fans that Girls Aloud seem to be aiming their sound towards and how many of the other reality TV pop acts have vanished long before this point. Also, despite enjoying their music so far, I didn’t really expect my interest in them to last this long, as I expected the quality to dip once they were away from the attention of the TV show that got them a record deal to begin with. Indeed, I was very ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Chemistry - Girls Aloud: Fan Bloody Tastic! (740 words)

I consider Girls Aloud to be the most brillant pop band ever known in the U beating S Club 7, Steps, Blue, Westlife and many more. They have musically been consistent, growing in sales and popularity, modern and fun. I watched Girls Aloud from day one on Popstars the rival and sort of spotted a chemistry between the five members that seemed they had been freinds their whole lives. Girls Aloud, today are the biggest most selling record sales and tour sales wise girl band in the UK heck popgroup in the UK. The five members have chemistry, with Cheryl and Kimberely there for each others personal crisis's, Nadine and Kimberely's friendship right from the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review 5 Girls + 4 Great Songs + 9 Average Songs = Chemistry (1161 words)

'Chemistry' is the third studio album from arguably Britain's biggest girl band Girls Aloud. However, at the time of this album's release there was a lot of speculation that the group wouldn't be around much longer due to its poor sales and a rather dismal performance of its singles. Thankfully the girls proved their critics wrong and have continued to make brilliant pop music. I'm a huge fan of Girls Aloud and I brought their first three albums as their singles are consistently strong and catchy pieces of music. However, after hearing 'Chemistry' in its entirety, I have given up delving into the rest of their studio releases due to the fact that I realised ...  Read the complete review
