Advantages: It's Camper Than A Row Of Tents

Disadvantages: My Boyfriend Doesnt Like Them.

This is a fantastic cd packed with plenty of potential singles - its camper than a row of tents and has more energy than a six pack of red bull! Some of the lyrics are perhaps a bit too much to make it suitable for younger children, but then thats just my opinion.

ANYWAY..... a breakdown of the album ensues.....

1) Intro - does exactly what it says on the tin, not very exciting, but then, are they ever? Ive never quite seen the point in intros anyway....

2) Models - a fabulous throwback to the 80s
with lyrics about living the highlife. Sadly, Im not quite old enough to remember the 80s but this sounds as funky as any actual 80s music I have heard!

3) Biology - This has already been released as a single and its very very catchy, though personally I dont quite "get" it - sounds like something from a bizarre caberet with an equally bizarre video to match!

4) Wild Horses - ooooh this is one of my faves, it starts off sounding like a Kate Bush tribute and then comes the beat, along with random lyrics about telling your boyfriend to get out of town, take his lazy dog with him, AND to top it all off, the chorus involves them making train noises - pure genius.

5) See The Day - this is a cover, Im sure everyone will say that they have murdered this, though having never heard the original, I cant comment. Its decent enough, but its drenched in that Christmassy schmaltz which means that its the kind of thing you will only ever listen to at Christmas.

6) Watch Me Go - another of my favourites. Returning to the 80s again, they try their hand at a ska type melody. Again, random lyrics about wearing red and being tied to a bed, by a man called Ben - the "rap" at the end is without doubt the highlight, but you will have to listen to it to see why!

7) Waiting - continues with the Ska theme, perhaps moreso than Watch Me Go but they play it a little more straight on this one, Its not bad, but its not one of my favourites and certainly isnt them at their best.

8) Whole Lotta History - rumour has it that this will be the next single. Its another ballad, and although Im not a big ballad fan, this is actually pretty good and easily one of the best songs on the album.

9) Long Hot Summer - this was released as a single last year, and, at the time, i have to confess I did think it was a bit rubbish, but listening to it again, its not THAT bad in a throw-a-way kind of way. Bland, but listenable.

10) Swinging London Town - another 80s throwback, but probably my least favourite track on the entire album. Unsurprisingly, its about London.... why do english bands seem to think that at some point in their career they have to have a song about London? Why? Whats the point? Why dont they sing about somewhere else for once? Maybe they could include a song about Macclesfield on their next album, please.

11) It's Magic - This is my favourite song on the entire album - its absolutely fab. Its sung entirely by Nicola and as such this track will be criminally overlooked - this SHOULD have been a single you know!!!!!

12) No Regrets - Another bland ballad with a kinda 80s vibe (again). Its ok... its listenable, but ultimately bland.

13) Racy Lacey - Another caberet type song - this time an ode to a slapper called Racy Lacey. The lyrics are a bit saucy for children in my opinion, but maybe Im getting prudish in my old age.

In summary, this is a fantastic cd - obviously aimed at teens and gay men (Im 27 and male, so go figure) and deserves to be bigger than it will be. Hopefully this will not be the last we hear from them!

Summary: Its Magic. BUY IT!!!!
