Girls Aloud are a British girlband consisting of five members ; Nadine Coyle , Cheryl Cole , Sarah Harding , Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh. Girls Aloud were formed on the reality television show ; Popstars The Rivals in 2002. Since then they have become a huge success. To date they have had eighteen top ten singles , including three number ones. Their style of music consists of pop and electro pop.
Chemistry is the third album from Girls Aloud. The album was released in the United Kingdom on 5th December 2005. There are thirteen tracks on the album. Chemistry is available to buy from play.com for a small price of £2.99

I will now give a description on a few of the songs.

* Models *
This is a very upbeat song which if I'm honest is kind of an 'all over the place' kind of song. It's very 'rushing about'. It's one them songs which you either love or hate it ; I hate it!

* Biology *
I love the funky beats in this song! It's very different. The band released this as a single ; I think it was very daring to release this song as it is very unique. I like the 'in-the-background' vocals.
* See The Day *
I love this song! It's so calm and beautiful to listen to. Their voices are perfect and strong on this track. I like how the song is calm and then it goes louder and really dramatic in some places.

*Wild Horses *
I wasn't too keen on this song at first , but as I listened to it more and more I became to like it. At first I thought it was like a 'church' song , but it soon becomes upbeat and really catchy!
* Long Hot Summer *
An infectious track! Very upbeat and a song you really wanna get up and dance to. A great song!

* Whole Lotta History *
A beautiful ballad. I like how the song begins with whispery 'talking'. It's a very chilled out song. The vocals are great and emotional. I like how this track has calm bits and then dramatic bits and then back to calm.
* Waiting *
I absolutely love this funky song! It's incredibly catchy with cool beats. In a way it has a similar backing track to biology. This song is bursting with attitude.

* Well , What Do I Think ? *
When compared to similar bands such as the Sugababes , this is a huge disappointment. Although there are some songs that I enjoyed listening to , they are not really songs that I could listen to again once I've had a few listens. The whole album consists of one girl singing in a line , then another singing a line and there are no harmonies or anything like that which suggests that they are 'basic singers' who can sing in tune and that's all.
The album is very predictable. There is a slightly 'new' style to the girls sound , but I think it's the actual songs that make them good rather than the girls themselves being good. The girls seem to play the 'same characters ' in their songs. For example Nicole gets the 'quiet' bits , Cheryl 'gets the talking and calm bits' , Sarah gets the 'shouting' bits and Nadine seems to get the strong , dramatic bits of a song. It would be nice to see the girls do something different , rather than bore the listeners. You can tell when a dramatic bit of a song begins , and you instantly thing 'oh this will be Nadine's part'. So in order to keep their fans interested they should have 'surprises' in their songs so the listener doesn't get too bored.

There are a few songs on the album which I love , such as See The Day (which happens to be a cover) and Whole Lotta History. However there are some extremely poor ones too ; ones which don't really reach their peak such as the song Models. I feel that these songs are just placed on the CD as fillers.
When listening to this album , I couldn't resist having a dance along to it , although it wasn't because I absolutely loved the songs , it was because the songs have such 'get-up-and-dance' energy to them.

As much as I love Girls Aloud now , (I didn't like them so much until the last year or so) , I like the band , I like their singles , but I just don't think that their albums are very good! Unless you're a massive fan of the girls , I wouldn't really recommend this album. I thought that because I liked their singles , I would like their albums , but their singles are a lot different to the 'other songs' on the album.
