Advantages: Biology, Wild Horses, see The Day

Disadvantages: Not sure of swinging london town and no regrets a little bit they stick out abit so different

I consider Girls Aloud to be the most brillant pop band ever known in the U beating S Club 7, Steps, Blue, Westlife and many more. They have musically been consistent, growing in sales and popularity, modern and fun. I watched Girls Aloud from day one on Popstars the rival and sort of spotted a chemistry between the five members that seemed they had been freinds their whole lives. Girls Aloud, today are the biggest most selling record sales and tour sales wise girl band in the UK heck popgroup in the UK.

The five members have chemistry, with Cheryl and Kimberely there for each others personal crisis's, Nadine and Kimberely's friendship right from the auditions, Nicola and Cheryl livin together at the start, Sarah winding every one up etc. Chemistry, their third album was released at a time when Girls Aloud where very popular, but they had quite average sales. Chemistry although went platinum and sold 350,000 sales which is only half what the latest Out Of Control album sold but it was an important album because it was the masses and critical acclaim in the form of reviews that this album invited.

I purchased both editions of the album, at retail price may i add ;) but this is a very good album, it's not just a load of pop songs thrown together, the album is cohesive and has flow. The Intro is fab, i think it says everything they are about, i love how Models just begins from the Intro and love the ''girls, girls, girls'' bit and am still suprised they never released this they missed out on a hit. I feel Biology turned a corner from them, and i remember watching the Biology video really impressed like a wow moment, confirming they where the best pop group in the UK. I love the craziness of Wild Horses, so funky like Wake Me Up from the last album.

See the Day, wasnt their biggest most well known hit but it got them radio airplay and christmas sales, they look awkward singing it in performances because apart from Nadine it shows the weakenesses in their voices. Watch Me Go is one of my fave's from the album, so funky and groovy just makes you want to join ''quarter past one, i was having fun'' - i promise i just did that off the top of my head. Waiting is a brillant song, i think it's modern and would have loved it as a single. Whole Lotta History for a lot of people will always sound and be like the reflective girls aoud song when they split so beautifully and meaningfully sang i think this songs class.

Long Hot Summer i will admit at first i hated, then liked, then hated again and now i think it's a piece of perfect pop music the baby, baby you drive me crazy..bit is genius, the baa baa baa in the chorus i really like as well - lots of little parts work really well. Swinging London Town i hated at the start but it's mad and is a good way for this album to showcase their real life's cause that's what they'er doing in real life. It's Magic sounds brillant and justifies Nicolas prescense in the group, it's perfect and it has flow throughout the song. No Regrets is a Nadine solo song, it's beautiful and melochanic not one of their better songs but it prepares you for the end of the album. Great lyrics btu it stands out from the whole album. Racey Lacey is just fun, not sure of the lyrics and since they have a lot of young fans but i like the chorus.

All in all a real class album, no wonder they have managed to gain acclaim, success and popularity because any other album by a pop group would have been filled with filler - not one of these songs i don't like. Well Done, a real brillant album and i think it's the album that changed everything, they came a album selling band from this stage on. They have chemistry so the title is fitting and this a cohesive album i would recommend you to buy if you saw it in a bargain bin anywhere.

Wow i've rambled on 700 words!! but i do think this is a great album, i urge you to try it - sajjad xxx

Summary: Third album which went platinum by UK pop phenomenom Girls Aloud
