Advantages: Excellent vocals and guitars

Disadvantages: Need time to get used to it

I've been a GNR fan for the past (almost) 20 years and as millions of others was waiting anxiously for this album. I've read reviews before, been on GNR forums and seen my favourite artist after 17-years of waiting at Download 2006 - an experience that will stay with me forever...
Well. My overall impression is that every song tells a story and it is impossible to listen to all of them at once, as simply, you will get tired/sick/bored at the end. This is caused by enormous emotional load that can be found in the tracks. Axl's vocals is far more better than 15-20 years ago, piano skills - amazing and those guitars...
I have discovered that the best way is to choose 2-3 songs at once and listen to them. This way fans (old and new) can immerse themselves in a very complex instrumental and vocal creations of Axl&co.
Somehow the two ones that are close to my heart are Shackler's Revenge and Better. Both very energetic, slightly aggressive, almost hypnotizing. Try listening to them on a computer in Media Player with those strange animations on!
Overall, it is a very good album but not for those expecting continuation of Use Your Illusion - for connoisseurs and open minded people only!

Summary: Worth trying and opening your mind
