Advantages: Features "Take a look around" and "My generation/rollin"

Disadvantages: Not as good as their last album - "Significant Other", but that is hard to top

The strangely titled third album ?Chocolate Starfish and The Hotdog Flavoured Water? from Limp Bizkit is pretty much the same style as their other material. The whole feel is their usual rap/rock style, but with new cooler beats and new funkier riffs. The 15 track album (1 of them an intro and another an outro - leaving 13 songs) is full of the usual Limp tracks that stick in your mind for weeks and have you singing to yourself 24/7.
The album is very different to ?Significant Other,? Limp Bizkit?s second album. ?Chocolate Starfish? has a more heavy style that we have not heard from Limp Bizkit before this album. The album seems more focused on lyrics and ?quick-witted? raps, than on the actual musical quality of the album (which I think is not quite as good as on their other material).
The album starts with ?Hotdog,? a song that I am sure features the word ?f**k? more than any other song I have ever heard. Lead singer Fred Durts manages to use quick-witted raps in ?Hotdog? like, ?It?s a f**ked up world, in a f**ked up place, everybody?s judged by their f**ked up face.?It?ll have you laughing your head off minutes.
The album features the single ?Take a look around (theme from mi:2) and the forthcoming double a-side ?My generation/rollin.?
The album's stand out tracks are: "hotdog," "rollin," "my generation," "getcha groove on" and "boiler."
The album's new style will probably take a bit of time to grow on me...but after about 3 listens I already love it. However, I do prefer the old Limp Bizkit style that was present in last years 'Significant Other' which I think is their best album. I cannot critisize "Chocolate Starfish" when comparing it to "Significant Other" because "Significant Other" was one of the best albums ever (in my opinion) and it would be impossible for them to top or even come near the quality of that album.
If you are any fan of
rock/rap, "chocolate starfish" is a must.If you are a fan of Limp Bizkit, then YOU CANNOT POSSIBLY LIVE WITHOUT THIS ALBUM. If you are out for a laugh the still buy this album....Welll I cannot think of any reason why anybody would not buy this album.If you can think of one...feel free to comment.Oh, and by the way, if you buy the album in the UK you get an ace bonus cd featuring tracks from "$3 Bill Y'all" and the vids to some of their singles...an added bonus!!
