and chocolate), and one lady that stands out at the moment for being a modern day romantic singer is Diana Krall. Canadian born jazz singer/pianist Diana Krall has been making albums since the early nineties. Until recently though only hard core jazz fans had really heard her. That all changed when she won a Grammy for her fifth album ‘When I look in your eyes’. Suddenly she was propelled to stardom (amongst jazz fans at least); her image changed from girl-next-door to sex kitten and she started selling albums in the millions. Everyone who heard the wonderful songs from ‘When I look..’ waited in anticipation for her next album. And, ...

Twin Peaks - Angelo Badalamenti - Soundtrack
Badalamenti and Cruise work beautifully together.
Themes become repetitive as they follow a limited number of predefined paths.
Systematic Chaos - Dream Theater
Few Highlights
Few Highlights
Spreading The Disease - Anthrax
Great vocals and guitars, when used effectively.
Over-repetitive and lacking in intensity.
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - Cliff Eidelman - Soundtrack
Fantastically dark Star Trek score unlike any other
The almost all-encompassing darkness and suspense may not be ideal for a lot of people
Star Trek: Generations - Soundtrack
Is a decent effort
Is not an enthralling effort
Octavarium - Dream Theater
The song 'Octavarium' is brilliant
Again, may bore some people
Korngold - The Sea Hawk / Deception
Two premiere recordings of classic Korngold scores in superlative performances
Outside of a couple of very small details there are none
Cult - Apocalyptica
Talented and dynamic cello metal.
You do tend to wish there was a real guitar in there somewhere.
Black Earth - Arch Enemy
The logical and loyal successor to Carcass.
Structurally flawed.
Aspera Hiems Symfonia - Arcturus
The continuing evolution of (melodic/symphonic/progressive/whatever) black metal.
Deviates from the band's roots and tends to lose the atmosphere.
